Objectives of the SYFC Flying Course
Introduce
To introduce and expose students to flying and aviation.
Discover
To discover each student’s aptitude and potential for flying.
Develop
To develop the skills, knowledge and character necessary for flying training.
Curious about what it takes to be able to fly an aircraft? Sign up for our flying course and you will go through our Aviation Exploration Programme (AEP) to explore your interest in aviation. In this programme, students will gain basic aviation knowledge and learn how to manoeuvre an aircraft in the flight simulator. The AEP aims to expose as many students as possible to the world of aviation.
The AEP is a pre-requisite before you start flying training in an actual aircraft. Selected students from the AEP will go through the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) Course. Completion of the PPL Course will lead to the attainment of a PPL issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
The PPL Course is divided into 3 phases – the Ab Initio Phase, the Solo Phase and the Wings Phase. Students need to demonstrate the required level of competence and pass the assessment at the end of each phase before they can progress to the next phase of training.
