SYFC50 Tail Flash Design Contest

Contest closes end March 2020

Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC) is celebrating 50th anniversary in 2021. To commemorate our Golden Jubilee, we are organising a contest for staff, students and partners of SYFC to design a SYFC 50th Anniversary emblem. The winning design will be used, during our Golden Jubilee year, in commemorative souvenirs and as a Tail Flash, on the tail fin of our Diamond DA40 aircraft.

Entries will undergo selection by a panel of judges within SYFC. The top 3 winning entries will receive prizes. The winners will be contacted by email to collect the prizes. SYFC reserves full rights to the submitted designs after the contest.

1st prize: $500 NTUC Voucher
Two Consolation Prizes: $200 NTUC Voucher each

Singapore Airshow 2020

The Singapore Airshow is Asia's largest Aerospace and Defence event. Every two years, people around the world attend the Singapore Airshow to forge partnerships. As the largest airshow, it is the place to be for leading aerospace companies to make their mark in the international aerospace and defence market. It offers a unique platform for industry thought leadership through its high-level conference, forums and co-located events.

FAI Aeromodelling Commission 2020

10 to 15 Aug 2020

FAI, also known as Fédération aéronautique internationale is the world governing body for air sports. It is founded on 14 October 1905, and is headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland. It maintains world records for aeronautical activities including aeromodelling, unmanned aerial vehicles(drones), as well as general aviation. SYFC sends students that are able to compete on a higher level to the FAI World Championship for Class F2 - Control Line. The upcoming World Championship will be held around the 3rd Quarter of Year 2020.

PPL Wings & Aviation Awards Ceremony 2020

The PPL Wings & Aviation awards ceremony is an annual event held in Singapore Youth Flying Club and an event in which PPL students look forward to. The event celebrates the fruits of their commitment and determination in journeying through the challenging PPL course to earn their coveted wings. The Wings and Certificates will be presented to the graduands during the ceremony, with the families and friends of the graduands in attendance to share in this joyous occasion.
