Dec 1971 Junior Flying Club (JFC) was founded.

Mar 1987 First Flight Experience Programme for National Servicemen to encourage them to join the Air Force.
1988 JFC was renamed Youth Flying Club (YFC).
Oct 1989 YFC acquired a fleet of 12 Piper Warrior II (PA-28-161)
Sep 1990 YFC registered itself as a civilian flying club.
Nov 1991 YFC condcuted its first overseas nav-trip to participate in Lima Airshow.
1993 Inauguration of the YFC Alumni.
Dec 1995 First visit to Flying Training School - Pearce Airbase, Perth, Australia.
Dec 1997 First Fighter Famil Flight for YFC students, startred with 2 F5s.
2000 Launch of YFC21 Modernisation Programme by Mr Peter Ho, PS(D).
2000 First World Champ Competition for YFC Aeromodellers in France.
May 2001 YFC was renamed Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC)
2001 SYFC launched its new CCA programme catering to students in secondary schools.
Nov 2002 Mr Cedric Foo, MOS Defence commissioned 2 newly acquired CT/4Es at SYFC.
May 2003 SYFC relocated to new premises at West Camp Road
Jul 2005 Official Opening of Aeromodelling Flying Circle Complex.
Mar 2006 SYFC was awarded ISO Certification by UKAS
Jun 2006 SYFC celebrated its 35th Anniversary.
Aug 2006 SYFC acquired the Piper Flight Simulator.
Aug 2007 SYFC attained the Singapore Quality Class Award.
Mar 2009 SYFC achieved recertification in ISO9001:2008

OCT 2010 Acceptance Check flight of 1st Diamond Star Aircraft - 9V-YFC
