Year 1971

Junior Flying Club (JFC) was founded.

Year 1980

Club renamed JFC/Light Aircraft Squadron.

Year 1982

Restructured and named JFC/151 Squadron.

Year 1987

First Flight Experience Programme for National Servicemen to encourage them to join the Air Force.

Year 1988

JFC was renamed Youth Flying Club (YFC).

Year 1989

YFC acquired a fleet of 12 Piper Warrior II (PA-28-161).

Year 1990

YFC registered itself as a civilian flying club.

Year 1991

YFC condcuted its first overseas nav-trip to participate in Lima Airshow.

Year 1993

Inauguration of the YFC Alumni.

Year 1995

First visit to Flying Training School - Pearce Airbase, Perth, Australia.

Year 1997

First Fighter Famil Flight for YFC students, startred with 2 F5s.

Year 2000

Launch of YFC21 Modernisation Programme by Mr Peter Ho, PS(D).

First World Champ Competition for YFC Aeromodellers in France.

Year 2001

YFC was renamed Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC).

SYFC launched its new CCA programme catering to students in secondary schools.

Year 2002

Mr Cedric Foo, MOS Defence commissioned 2 newly acquired CT/4Es at SYFC.

Year 2003

SYFC relocated to new premises at West Camp Road.

Year 2005

Official Opening of Aeromodelling Flying Circle Complex.

Year 2006

SYFC was awarded ISO Certification by UKAS.

SYFC celebrated its 35th Anniversary.

SYFC acquired the Piper Flight Simulator.

Year 2007

SYFC attained the Singapore Quality Class Award.

Year 2009

SYFC achieved recertification in ISO9001:2008

Year 2010

Arrival of 2 Diamond Star Aircraft - 9V-YFC and 9V-YFF.

Certificate of Air Worthiness for 9V-YFC and 9V-YFF.

Arrival of Diamond Star Flight Simulation Training Device.

Acceptance Check flight of 1st Diamond Star Aircraft - 9V-YFC

Year 2011

Commissioning the Diamond Star aircraft.

Year 2012

SYFC attained FTO.
